Mobility and speed will be the major elements of the new
telecommunications during the next years.
Athens, December 7 2000 - ̀At Friday, December 1st, the conference "Telecoms Forum 2000" concluded its works, with a great success. More than 400 business executives, decision makers and major players of the Greek Telecommunications and the economy in general, attended the Forum. The main conclusion that came out of the conference was that the trend for mobility and speed. Mobility in every equipment, IT and telecommunication application, with access any time and from anywhere. Speed in access, transfer rates, and response of the companies in the rapid changes of the new environment.
The success of the conference underlines the need of the companies and the sector of Telecommunications in general to take a closer look at the last evolutions of this rapid growing market, just one step before it's deregulation.
The participants had the chance to listen to more than 60 speakers, coming from 15 different countries, who analyzed the most important aspects that concern the sector such as the new services, the revolution of UMTS, the convergence of IT and telecommunications, the alternative telecommunication solutions and applications but also the trends and forecasts for the Greek and Southeastern European Telecoms Markets.
The Telecoms Forum 2000, that was organized by Strategic International is a milestone for the evolution of telecommunications in Greece and the broader region of Southeastern Europe and gave the chance to all the participants of the conference to prepare themselves for the challenges and the opportunities that will emerge in the new century.
