"Strategic's 1st SouthEastern Europe IT FORUM 2001":
Major Conference for Information Technology for SouthÅastern Europe to be held in Athens, in June.

Athens, 8 May 2001 - The most important IT Forum in SE Europe, and one of the biggest privately organized IT Fora in Europe, will take place on 18 and 19 June, at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Athens. The event, organized by the consulting company Strategic International SA, takes place in a period when the IT sector is in a steep rise in Greece and in SE Europe, with the markets presenting very high growth rates, and with the governments having dynamically entered the Digital Era. The forum, which is expected to be attended by more than 300 businessmen, top executives, policy makers as well as high-grade IT personalities from Greece, East and West Europe, will give a unique opportunity for contacts and discussions over its main topic, which is:
"The Great Transformation - IT and Internet are Rewriting the Business Rules in SE Europe"
Apart from its basic technological topics, the forum is characterized by a series of novelties, like the coverage of topics related to the Society and the IT in SE Europe, the Digital Gap of Countries and Enterprises and at last the actual and interesting "Irish example", which is a global model of successful development through the Information Society. President of the forum will be Mr Kieran Corrigan, member of the executive board of IDA (Irish Development Agency).
The forum is structured in three distinct areas covering the whole spectrum of the Information Society. These areas are: Governing, Democracy and Information Society in SE Europe, the IT, the Internet and the New Business Rules for SE Europe, the New IT Generation: Profits and Opportunities for the Enterprises.
