Strategic International SA may set Equity Research Service.

Athens, November 29th, 2002 – Strategic International/ K. Kataras SA, the Strategy Consulting firm (www.strategic.gr), is considering launching an equity research service, first in Greece and Cyprus and possibly in other countries in the region.
According to company sources, a business opportunity arises after the recent mounting controversy over the independence of investment banks, stockbrokers and other financial institutions analysis.
The controversy caused mainly from biased recommendations in the technology and telecom sectors, industries were the firm is a leading player for decades.
The controversy has encouraged the firm to explore investment research opportunities, as an extension to its authoritative research and deep knowledge in the technology sector.
The company is now in discussions with partners and prospects clients, like banks and other institutions, in order to finalize this new content and analysis service.
Although the company has not provided details on this new project, it is estimated that will capitalize also on investment research from Independent Research Providers (IRPs), on its excellent traditional relationships with the leading worldwide consultancies and “Think Tanks” and other international institutions/organizations, for launching this new service.
